This is very exciting! Andrew Young is coming to UNC to give the annual MLK lecture.
As a young girl in Atlanta I have always been proud of Andrew Young and his efforts for civil rights. He was a civil rights activist, leader and also a past mayor of Atlanta. Many people do not know that Andrew young led a historical march in St. Augustine Florida where he was brutally beat for leading the march. Now St. Augustine has erected a memorial to honor his efforts in their city. Let's not forget it was only so long ago that we had to be beaten for our "freedom."
Walk with your head held high, speak with confidence and passion. Everyday.
